Electrolysis
Electrolysis is the only permanent hair removal method recognized and practiced by the medical community, and recognized by the FDA. The technique utilizes a small sterile probe that is inserted into the hair follicle alongside the hair and delivers a low electrical current directly into the hair root, ending further hair growth. To completely remove hair from an area on the body, a series of treatment is required. The length of time and number of treatments varies person to person and is dependent upon a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the size of the area, the amount of hair, and how well the patient tolerates the procedure.
